Nigel Smith

Ken Nigel Smith, President, Surena LLC,  is a passionate and visionary leader with expertise in strategy development, business development and innovation in a wide variety of industry sectors.  He also sits on the Board of Directors of TATIL and Tatil Life Assurance Limited, two insurance companies headquartered in Trinidad & Tobago, where he provides strategy and innovation guidance to Executive Management. Nigel has also held a variety of primarily strategy and innovation roles at some of the most admired companies in the world, including AARP Innovation Labs, AARP, Visa USA, McKinsey & Company, Goldman Sachs Group and KPMG.  He is a graduate of Leadership Maryland and holds a Masters in Business Administration degree from Stanford University, a Certification in Leading Innovation Change from UC Berkeley, and a Bachelors in Business Administration degree from Howard University. His life purpose is to uplift spirits and he volunteers with multiple organizations, including Google Vitality Lab, Washington DC ArchAngels, The Trinidad & Tobago Diaspora Association Network, Stanford GSB Alumni Association and St. Mary’s College Alumni Association – all of which he currently holds core advisory and/or leadership positions.

Zurena LLC, is a Silver Spring MD based startup that produces, markets and distributes healthy, simple, and delicious beverages, drink mixers and additives for high quality cocktail and mocktail drink making. In this role he leads strategy development, innovation, business development and operations.  Zurena LLC sponsors numerous health and wellness initiatives each year.
